Let’s talk about the HTC HD2 price in India, features and specifications in details.

HTC HD2 is available in India at the cost of Rs. 25,000/-(Indian Rupees) INR. Please research the market before buy. Price of HTC HD2 may be down any time as per the market competition, availability and popularity of the mobile.

The HTC Smart design reminds one of HTC Touch2. It has a compact design that fits well in the palm with a fairly large 2.4" QVGA display taking up most of the front space. Above the display is the earpiece with a hidden indicator, which comes to life while charging or when the battery is low.

Below the display you can find four buttons taking up sizable amount of space. In between the large Call and End buttons is the back key, which also brings up the main menu on the home screen (more on that later). A rather tiny button resides above these goliaths, which surprisingly is responsible for bringing up one of the more important functions on the phone, showing additional options in the menu.

The lower three keys are oversized - possibly to emphasize that the Smart is a very easy to use phone. However, why HTC chose to reduce the size of an important key, which is used quite often in the menu, to the size of a grain of rice is beyond me. It is very difficult to press it and more often than not you end up pressing the Call button, which brings up the list of the recently dialled numbers. No such problems with the other three buttons though; they can be used with your eyes closed.

On the left side of the phone is the volume control key. On the right is a shutter key, which is surprising, as HTC usually does not provide shutter buttons on its phones, instead, they preferring to use the on-screen button or the trackball/optical trackpad to shoot. On the top is the 3.5mm headphone jack, which is now standard on all HTC phones and thankfully makes its appearance even on this budget handset. At the bottom is the miniUSB jack, which HTC calls ExtUSB for some reason. And although it looks slightly different, you cannot use the ExtUSB cable that HTC provides with other devices.

Turn the device around and you will see the camera lens on top with a single LED flash. The lens does not have any protection and you can easily stretch or worse, break it. The loudspeaker is placed right beside the lens. The battery cover on the phone can be removed by digging your finger nail into the small indentation at the top. Underneath you'll find the microSD card slot placed on the side of the battery and the SIM underneath it. The phone supports microSDHC cards up to 16GB in capacity and comes with a 2GB card as standard.

The handset has a good fit and finish, and is well built. Despite being a budget handset HTC has ensured that it does not feel like one. The only problem that we had with the design was the small menu button.
